Geogrid(ATB)

Biaxial Geogrid (Polypropylene)

ATB (PP) is a biaxial extruded geogrid that is specifically designed for roads and railways to enhance the modulus of pavement base and sub-base layers. It is manufactured using high-quality polypropylene through punching and drawing methods. By utilizing this PP biaxial geogrid, it is possible to either reduce the pavement thickness or extend its design life. It is designed to cater to various grades, offering greater tensile resistance at lower elongations.

Features of ATB (PP)

  • Provides tensile strength to the pavement.
  • High modulus and structural integrity result in higher tensile strength at low strains.
  • Offers higher durability.
  • Facilitates easy installation and increased speed in construction.
  • Causes a reduced carbon footprint.
  • Minimizes lateral spreading of the base course and increase the confined base.

Applications of ATB (PP)

  • Roads and railways
  • Subgrade stabilization
  • Reinforcement of ballast/sub-ballast
  • Haul roads
  • Land reclamation
  • Landfills

Biaxial geogrid (Polyester)

ATB (PET) is a biaxial geogrid that is manufactured using high molecular weight (>25000 gm/mol) and high tenacity polyester yarns. The polyester yarns are knitted together to provide its design strength in both the machine and cross-machine directions and finished with a polymeric coating, forming a grid-like structure. When it comes to ground improvement below a retaining wall system (RS wall), using ATB (PET) at the base has become a superior methodology compared to replacing a larger amount of soil to increase the bearing capacity of the foundation. The aperture of the geogrid interlocks with the soil, confining the improved ground and making the base stiffer, allowing for the dissipation of pressure from above through a larger area.

Features of ATB (PET)

  • High tenacity polyester yarns are used to provide tensile strength in both directions.
  • Effectively dissipates pressure into the ground.
  • The polymeric coating provide resistance from UV rays.
  • Exhibits high Long-Term Design Strength (LTDS) of up to 100 kN/m with low creep.

Applications of ATB (PET)

  • Ground improvement below RS walls
  • Embankments over soft soil
  • Landfills and ponds
  • Breakwater and jetties

Uniaxial geogrid (Polyester)

ATU (PET) is a type of geogrid that is made using strong polyester yarns with a high molecular weight (>25000gm/mol) and high tenacity. These yarns are knitted together in a way that gives the geogrid its strength in one direction, and then it is coated with a polymer to create a grid-like structure. ATU (PET) is used in Reinforced Soil Walls/Slopes to strengthen the soil and support different facades. The grid's openings connect with the soil, providing long-lasting reinforcement.

Features of ATU(PET)

  • High tenacity polyester yarns are used to provide tensile strength
  • Flexibility to the system
  • Polymeric coating provides resistance from UV rays
  • High LTDS & low creep

Applications of ATU(PET)

  • RS walls with various fascia
  • Embankments over soft soil
  • Landfills and ponds
  • Breakwater and jetties
